We picked up are packets and received are numbers and and time chips. Time to go set up are stations, and squeeze into the spandex and wet suit and think to myself "I should of done some more situps. Spandex shows everything.
Time to say good bye to our wonderful kids. "WOW", what a farmers tan. Hopefully I will see them again.
I was relieved to find out that Jeremiah and I would start at the same time. Still scared but was happy to have Jeremiah by my side. By the way the water in Bear lake is freezing. I was grateful for my wetsuit, and thinking that I am way out of my comfort zone. Jeremiah worked overtime to keep me calm. Once I got through the swim I would be okay. We are the cute couple holding hands.
Here comes Jeremiah, piece of cake for him. Where's Megan you ask, she is still swimming, thinking " I think I can, I think I can" Where do I go, oh no I am swimming the wrong way. Okay back on course, what am I doing here. Next time I am doing a triathlon in the swimming pool with out the waves and freezing cold water..
I made it, wow I am glad thats over, It wasn't as bad as I thought. A least I am not the last one. Okay here goes round two. How Am I going to get this wetsuit off. Good things for brother-in-laws. As I was running to my bike, Jeremiah's brother said to lay on my back and he grabbed my wet suit and ripped it off. Good thinking Shaun.
Okay now for the bike. Oh no where's my hat, there it is under my towel.
In the mean time waiting for mommy and daddy to return they had fun playing and sleeping. Needless did they know mommy got stung by a bee at the beginning of the bike leg of the triathlon, can I say OCH!!!. It flew straight at me and got stuck in in my bike helmet. Oh well I had to keep going. Training on hills really helped, made up some time on the bike. Okay where is Jeremiah, there he is on his way back to run. It was fun seeing his smiling face and giving me a thumbs up.
After along bike ride and a bee sting, I made it back. Round three, hopefully I have enough energy to do my run. I can do It, I trained for this. I have come this far!
Okay here I Go. Who is that cute guying running past me on the opposite side, wow he is good looking. Oh! that is my cute husband showing off. I train as hard as I could after having a baby, Jeremiah hardly trained at all because he was really busy with work and school.
Okay, so I am almost at the end and I haven't stopped running I know that if I stop I won't be able to start again.I see the finish line.
Yes!!!! That is a big smile on my face. Wow what a goal to accomplish. Four months ago I didn't even know how to swim. Had a baby 6 months ago, Thank you to Jeremiah for believing in me and helping overcome my doubt and fears. Thanks to my Swim instructor who taught me how to swim and for pushing me forward. Doing this Triathlon I learned that you never know what you can accomplish until you try and its good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. I know you wondering if I would do it again. The answer is yes. I am already planning to do one in May. So if there is any one that wants to join me let me know.

We are alive and the "bee" died!
After little SLEEP, we woke up at 5:00 am to get ready to go. The moment that we have worked so hard was finally here. I was soooo scared and nervous all the way up to Bear Lake. The whole way up there I kept on saying to myself "I can't believe that I am doing a triathlon." We arrived at Bear lake about 7:30. No time to think about doing Morgan's hair, her mom couldn't even think straight. Good things for great husband that have it together.
